Costume Design + Casting

We have now filmed several scenes and have made costumes for two out of three characters. Below are the costumes and actors for Falling Girl and mini Falling girl. The older falling girl is a friend from school and then we needed to find a younger version of her for the film. Nathan knew the right person for the job, his younger cousin. We got permission from both the parents to film their daughter falling off various objects, we filmed all we needed for mini Falling girl in one day.

1. Simple t-shirt with superhero logo. Falling Girl is a simple superhero.
2. Tom boyish dungaree/skirt
3.Tall socks inspired by Pipi long stockings
4. Black converse with pink insides
5. Not shown in picture but she will have skate boarding pads and various plasters to show that she falls quite a lot.

We wanted Falling girl to be 'girly' but at the same time be a bit of a tom boy because she would be falling over quite a lot and she is getting used to grazes and cuts.

The making of the T-shirts.

I made these t-shirts by simple transfer paper. I printed the logo's I created backwards on the paper and ironed them on in the centre of the t-shirt. The pink t-shirt cost £2 and the smaller one cost 0.75p from Tesco. The transfer paper cost £5.
